Gas is reliable and efficient when handled correctly. Use this guide to inspect your hose, maintain cylinders, prevent leaks, and respond quickly if you notice danger.

01

How To Fix Your Hose For Your Safety

A damaged, loose, or badly fitted gas hose can cause leakage. Always inspect your hose before use and replace it immediately when it shows signs of wear.

  • Turn off the cylinder valve before touching or adjusting the hose.
  • Check for cracks, burns, holes, stiffness, or loose hose ends.
  • Use the correct hose size for your regulator and burner inlet.
  • Secure both ends tightly with proper hose clips or clamps.
  • Apply soapy water around connection points after fixing and watch for bubbles.
  • Replace old hoses regularly and never use tape as a permanent repair.
Important: If bubbles appear during a leak test, turn off the gas immediately and refit or replace the hose.

  • Use gas only in areas with good airflow and ventilation.
  • Keep paper, curtains, cloth, and other flammable items away from burners.
  • Never leave cooking gas unattended while it is on.
  • Always light the match or igniter before turning on the gas burner.
